Gellatly Bay Waterfront Improvements

Glen Canyon Regional Park
Our first long term plan after the waterfront improvements was to complete the trails up through Glen Canyon Regional Park along Powers Creek.
Trail 2000
Our second long term vision was to establish a trail from the Bennett Bridge through to Peachland known as Trail 2000 (now called the Westside Trail)
Cindy Road Trail and Other Projects In West Kelowna
A very important trail linking the Westbank Town Center with the foreshore has been completed and is in active use.
Brown Road Bridge
When the Regional District purchased the additional property for Glen Canyon Park off Brown Road in 2013, they required a bridge across Powers Creek.
Lower and Upper Glen Canyon Regional Park
Up to 2013 there was no access through Glen Canyon downstream from the Acorn Bridge through a 10 meter wide easement through private property.
Our Largest Trail Project
Our long term plan was to establish a trail from the Bennett Bridge to Peachland which was visioned by the Regional District to be called Trail 2000.
