Build The Future
Help Build the Future of West Kelowna’s Trails!
Since 1986, the Gellatly Bay Trails and Parks Society (GBTAPS) has been the driving force behind the trails we all enjoy in West Kelowna. From the original “Gellatly Bay Waterfront Improvements” to the Glen Canyon Regional Park improvements, our board doesn’t just meet in a room—we get out there and build.
We’ve built a legacy, but it’s time to pass the torch.
Our current Directors have been at the helm for decades and are now in their 70s and 80s. To keep our society active and our trails maintained, we need a new generation of “working” board members who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
Who we’re looking for:
We need “younger” retirees or community-minded residents with the skills to lead and the energy to work. We are specifically looking for backgrounds in:
- Construction or Engineering – To help plan and oversee trail projects, and to physically build trails.
- Project Management – To keep our physical works moving forward.
- Local Government Relations – To help us coordinate with the RDCO and the City of West Kelowna Parks Departments.
Open Roles:
Executive Directors (President, Vice President, Secretary)
Working Board Members (Active trail building and maintenance)
If you love our West Kelowna trails and want to ensure they stay beautiful and accessible for the next 40 years, we need your help.
